Corvara

Surrounded by imposing Dolomite peaks, Corvara is one of the most enchanting locations in Alta Badia, whose ski area, located between 1.400 and 2.700 meters above sea level, offers 130 km of slopes for all tastes and abilities, and another 500 km of connected slopes with skis on in the famous district Dolomiti Superski, passable using a single ski pass. And if the entire ski network has a developed programmable snowmaking system, the thrilling slope of the Alpine Skiing World Cup is not to be missed“big laugh”, on which it is possible to experience the strong emotions of the world champions. Not only that: the valley offers numerous excursions with snowshoes along 80 km of well-maintained and signposted paths.

The ideal place to spend a pleasant holiday, on the snow but not only, is the TH Corvara Greif Hotel overlooking the Dolomite peaks that surround it, it is characterized by a warm and welcoming atmosphere, cordial hospitality, good cuisine and all the services necessary and appreciated by a family. Characteristic, then, is the wellness area: the Wellness Center of the TH Corvara Greif Hotel includes an indoor and an outdoor swimming pool that overlooks the Sella group and Mount Sassongher through the glass windows.

And if you think that with the arrival of March the ski season is winding down, you are very wrong. On the contrary, it is precisely in spring that a different way of skiing can blossom, because the quality of the snow is soft and inviting, the sun is warmer, the air is crisp and the opening times of the lifts lengthen (earlier opening and longer closing). In short, a pleasant mix that can last even until the end of April.

The magic of spring skiing well suited to expert skiers. And perhaps, especially in the morning, accompanied by a mountain guide, it is also possible to take advantage of the joy of off-piste skiing or more adventurous skiing, away from the crowds, away from the lifts, immersed in a suggestive nature.

But the second half of the season is also the best time for beginners, especially children, to make their debut on the slopes. The sun, more pleasant temperatures, a more relaxed environment and a snowpack that is not too frozen or too soft (so the inevitable falls will be softer and less painful) are an excellent way to get on skis without stress or fear. Plus, you don't even need to cover up too much or get out of bed early.

So, skiing in March means: taking advantage of the sun and longer days, having lunch in the open air (preferably on the terrace of a high-altitude restaurant), indulging in a moment of relaxation comfortably stretched out on a deck chair. And after skiing? Space for many opportunities to get back in shape for the summer, from fitness to massages, and to end the day, an aperitif with friends and a delicious dinner.
